WHERE IT STARTED
Adrian Martin started boxing at 17. What followed was a competitive amateur career that took him all the way to winning the British Universities Championships and competing in the ABA Elites — one of the toughest amateur circuits in the country.
Every bout, every training session, every early morning built the foundation for everything that followed.
TURNING PROFESSIONAL
In November 2015, Adrian made his professional debut — winning an exciting contest against a fellow debutant. He went on to win an international title and challenge for the prestigious Southern Area Championship, finishing his professional career with a record of 12 wins and 2 losses.
THE SETBACK, AND WHAT CAME NEXT
In 2022, a serious car accident brought Adrian's competitive career to an end. After a year of recovery, he turned his full focus to coaching — and the results spoke for themselves. Working with his amateur club, Better Boxing produced national champions every single year between 2021 and 2025.
In 2024, Adrian was invited to join the coaching team at the world-famous Peacock Gym, where he has since been coaching domestic and world-level professional boxers, building a stable that includes multiple professional champions.
BETTER BOXING TODAY
Better Boxing opened in 2020, and after a pandemic restart in 2021, has grown into a full boxing gym based at The Stockyard, Bassetts Farm in Willingale, Essex.
The gym is for everyone — from those picking up gloves for the first time to those with their eyes on a title. Competing is never a requirement. But if that's where you want to go, the doors are open.
